Day One  - Upper and Lower Quebec City Orientation

 

Motorcoach arrives at school and depart Quebec City

The motorcoach will stop at driver’s discretion for lunch. 

Border crossing at - each passenger must have proper documentation in the form of a Passport ( students under 17 are not required to have a passport - however, please make sure to check prior to the trip as rules and laws may change)

Arrive in Quebec City and meet your GO Leader

Guided tour of Upper and Lower Town

Walk to Lower Town to the Centre d’Interpretation of Place Royale

Place-Royale—the birthplace of French America and a thriving hub of commerce and trade in New France—was home to many people long before the first Europeans arrived..

Dinner: la Vieille Maison du Spaghetti

Meet motorcoach and depart for hotel

Hotel Check in to Hotel 

Comfort Inn La Capitale or Hilton Quebec or Loews Le Concorde

Overnight Security (start) until 4:00 AM

Day Two - Upper & Lower Town

Wake-Up Call Provided, Breakfast at Hotel and Departure for the city

Visit the Musée de la Civilisation in the ‘Basse Ville’ - Lower Town

Explore the permanent collection of : Le Temps des Quebecois and learn more about  the unique culture. 

Visit the Notre Dame des Victoires Chapel in Place Royale

Lunch: Crepes Bretonnes

Visit the Chateau Frontenac - get in an depth look at the history of this magnificent hotel

Evening Ghost Tour of Upper and Lower Town

Dinner: L’Académie

Day Three - Sugar Shack, the Beaupre Coast &  Montmorency Falls

Wake-Up Call Provided, Breakfast at Hotel and Departure for the city

Visit le Musee du Fort

Learn more about the events of 1759 that would be a pivotal moment in the French Indian “7 Years’ War between the French and the English.

Depart for l”Ile d”Orleans and the Beaupre Coast

Lunch: Sugar Shack

Enjoy a typical French-Canadian celebration of a spring meal.

Driving tour of the Beaupre Coast to see Montmorency Falls and St Anne Basilica

Stop at Copper Art Museum and the atelier Paré to hear the legends of French-Canada.

Performance at the Basilica ** special request for choir singing at Basilica

Free evening in Upper Town to explore this remarkable town within the walls.

Day Four - La Citadelle and the fortifications

Guided tour of La Citadelle

The group will take a tour of this active military installation and official residence of both the Canadian monarch and the governor general located atop Cap Diamant, adjoining the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, Quebec. The citadel, the oldest military building in Canada, is part of the fortifications of Quebec City, one of only two cities in North America still surrounded by fortifications, the other being Campeche, Mexico.

Walk the Dufferin Terrace from the Citadelle to Champlain’s Statue

Lunch on your own - your GO Leader will make some suggestions

Learn more about the Fortifications of the city at Artillerie Park.

  • Visit and costume workshop

Return to hotel and change for your last evening in Quebec

Experience the French-Canadien cuisine in a timeless setting in one of the oldest houses in the city.

Day Five - : L’Assemblee Nationale

Breakfast at hotel  check out and departure for city

Visit the Assemblee Nationale - the Provincial Capital Parliament

Freetime to explore in small groups with your teachers  Upper & Lower Town

Board your coach and depart for home
