Chicago School Trip Highlights

Virtual exploring is prominent now more than ever and for obvious reasons! Yes, we’re in a pandemic but that does not have to stop students from “traveling” and learning as a result. Chicago has several highlights for those looking to learn about the city and its attractions all from the comfort of your home or classroom.

  • National Hellenic Museum
  • Adler Planetarium
  • Millennium Park

National Hellenic Museum

The National Hellenic Museum has a lot of history and information to offer. It will teach students about the cultural contributions of Greeks and Greek-Americans. This museum is the second oldest of its kind in America. The online platform displays the largest Greek/Hellenic collection in the world as students can find more than 20,000 artifacts, photos, newspapers, books and over 450 recorded oral pieces. For this reason, it was one of Chicago’s highlights for students that are on a school trip. Students can enter the museum by clicking here.

Adler Planetarium

The Adler Planetarium is a great attraction for STEM students. The Planetarium has an array of exhibits that will interest students. The exhibits cover a wide range of space topics and history as students will be able to learn about the evolution of women within the space industry, rare astronomy books, and first hard stories from the Apollo 11 mission. The Adler Planetarium is one of a kind making it a Chicago  highlight.

Millennium Park

A trip to Chicago is not complete without a visit to Millennium Park, making it a Chicago school trip highlight! Chicago is known for having intricate and detailed infrastructure and “The Bean” is a part of that. Students will have a chance to view one of Chicago’s most famous attractions.

Chicago is a great destination for students on a school trip. There are many attractions and activities. Students are sure to remain engaged and intrigued throughout the entire trip especially if visiting some of Chicago’s highlights!
